Coaching at the Officer Kangaroos Junior Football Club in 2025
The Officer Kangaroos Junior Football Club is seeking enthusiastic individuals to apply for a coaching role it its Junior Football Program for season 2025.
Our club is one of the leagues largest and continues to grow, is well respected as a leader on and off the field, so it’s a great opportunity to be part of something special.
We will field teams in all age groups from Under 8-17 boys and Under 10-18 girls and welcome all applicants to submit their interest.
Junior Football coaching is incredibly rewarding, and we encourage anyone interested to apply or enquire.
We are looking for applicants with the following skill sets:
- excellent communication skills;
- a positive role model;
- a willingness to develop and improve all players within a team;
- where necessary a willingness to bolster playing numbers within a team.
We provide our coaches with significant support, including:
- providing a training handbook
- running pre-season coach and player academy sessions to learn new drills and messaging
- providing strength and conditioning training
- insight into junior development pathways
- access to external coaching expertise and seminars to develop our coaches
- supporting coaches who want to develop further in interleague or pathway programs
- supporting coaches who are interested in applying to undertake a level 2 coaching course
- providing first-year coaches with either a level 2 accredited coach or a highly experienced coach as a mentor; and
- fantastic facilities
- supportive environment focused on development

All candidates will be advised in writing. (Note, some appointments in some of our age groups may be made earlier. All applicants for those positions will be advised by The Club in writing at that time).
