IMPORTANT INFORMATION 2021
The Parklea Officer Junior Football Academy is open to OKJFC players (Under 11’s to Under 17’s)# in 2021 providing you have registered (and paid a deposit or paid in full) with the club for the 2020 season.
For 2021 the sessions are on Sunday’s February 21 & 28, March 14 & 21 at the Heatherbrae Recreation Reserve. There are no sessions across the Labour Day long weekend.
Players will be split into their 2021 age appropriate squad (each squad has a name) and the sessions will be lead by our OKJFC 2021 appointed coaching staff.
# Information on sessions for Under 9’s and 10’s will be available soon as ground availability is making scheduling very difficult.
Important Details:
Parents, please ensure players are at the ground and ready to train 15 mins before the scheduled start time.

What to wear: Blue footy shorts (home) where possible, a t-shirt/singlet/footy jumper/Academy training shirt, runners, hat and sunscreen.
^ note – football boots ARE NOT required.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Q. Is the Football Academy considered preseason training or the real footy season?
Q. No, the Parklea Officer Junior Football Academy is an initiative from The Club designed to develop all our players footy skills during the preseason. Some age groups have already started training while some of the younger age groups haven’t as yet.
Q. My child was registered in 2020 and we have already re-registered for 2021 and have paid a deposit (or paid in full).
A. Your child can attend the 2021 Academy sessions.
Q. My child was registered in 2020 but I have not yet re-registered him/her for 2021.
A. Parents can register on line (you will have received an email from The Club), pay the deposit then you child can attend the 2021 Academy sessions. (Parents can re-register in person 30 mins before the designated Academy session. Our Registrar will be in attendance with EFT facilities available).
Q My child hasn’t played with Officer before, intends to play in 2021 and would like to attend The Junior Football Academy.
A. Check when you child’s age group Academy session is on and come down 30 minutes before to register in person (will need to bring a copy of a birth certificate) or email Kate at registrar@okjfc.com.au and she will assist you.
Q. Is there any additional cost for our child to attend the Officer Junior Football Academy?
A. No, as long as your child is registered to play with us in 2021 and a deposit is paid there is no additional cost. It is part of the Officer Kangaroos JFC development program.
Q. What are the Academy Squad Names all about?
A. The players are split into their respective age groups (Under 10, Under 14, etc) to mix with all players within their age group. For the Academy period, The Club has elected to name those age groups after families that have made significant contributions to developing football in the district with the Officer, Rythdale-Cardinia, Rythdale-Officer-Cardinia (ROC) football clubs. Academy Training Shirts
Players who attended the Academy in 2018 & 2019 can wear their existing Academy shirt. The Club has not purchased any more of these shirts.
