COACHES SUPPORT PROGRAM 2019

The Officer Kangaroos are committed to developing both our players and our coaches.  Like in 2018, this year our coaches will participate in a program that will help them with modern training methods, introduce drills and tips to work with and develop players of all abilities. The sessions will consist of (i) an oral presentation, (ii) practical sessions on the ground which includes a full team from OKJFC completing a series of game-sense drills run by DFS coaches in conjunction with OKJFC coaches and (iii) Monthly in season mentoring.

DFS Development Program 2019 season Outline Level 2

When: SUNDAY 3 FEBRUARY 2019

Where: RG Porter Social Rooms, Starling Road Officer

What Time: 8:45am to 12:45pm, we recommend you arrive at 8:30am.

Designed to follow on from CSP 1, providing Coaches, assistants and helpers with a brief review of the key details of CSP 1 and extended on field skills and drills.

The program will follow on from the 2018 Officer KJFC Academy being delivered across four x 2 hr sessions during February at the Officer home ground. Each age group will be led by a DFS head coach with assistance from OKJFC coaching staff.

The session will consist of the following:

  • 1 x Oral Presentations (total 30 mins)
  • 1 x Practical Sessions on ground (total 3.5 hours) includes OKJFC coaches completing a mix of skill development drills and game sense drills

In addition, monthly in season mentoring via DFS online platform Preseason Academy Program which is an elite development Academy program mirroring key elements of the DFS development programs, such as the North Melbourne NGA and St Kilda FC Edge program.
